The sacred journey to Kedarnath Temple from Haridwar is one of the most revered pilgrimages in India, attracting thousands of devotees every year. Nestled in the majestic Himalayas, Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and holds immense spiritual significance.
The journey typically begins from Haridwar, a holy city located on the banks of the Ganga River. From here, travelers proceed towards Guptkashi, Sonprayag, and Gaurikund, which serves as the base point for the Kedarnath trek.
From Gaurikund, pilgrims undertake a scenic trek of approximately 16–18 km to reach Kedarnath Temple. The route offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, lush valleys, and flowing rivers, making the journey both spiritually uplifting and visually mesmerizing.
