Kedarnath and Guptakashi Tour Overview
The Kedarnath Yatra is a spiritual pilgrimage to the Kedarnath Temple, one of the most revered shrines in Hinduism, located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Nestled amidst the majestic Himalayan mountains at an altitude of 3,583 meters (11,755 feet), the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, which are considered the most sacred abodes of Shiva.
Kedarnath is part of the Char Dham Yatra, a set of four sacred sites in Uttarakhand, and holds immense religious significance. According to Hindu mythology, the temple was originally built by the Pandavas after the Kurukshetra War to seek forgiveness from Lord Shiva. The temple is an architectural marvel, constructed from massive stone slabs and standing resilient against the test of time and harsh climatic conditions.
The yatra typically begins in April or May and continues until October or November, depending on weather conditions. Pilgrims embark on a challenging journey, which involves trekking through rugged terrain and high altitudes, to reach the temple. Helicopter services and pony rides are also available for those unable to undertake the trek.

Itinerary
Day 1
Haridwar to Guptkashi (8-hour drive)
We will begin our journey from Haridwar and head towards Sitapur. On the way, we will pass through the beautiful towns of Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Guptkashi.
Sitapur is a small village situated in the lap of the Himalayas, and we will be staying in a hotel there for the night and will have dinner at the hotel.
Day 2
Guptkashi to Kedarnath Dham (18 km trek + 7 km drive) - Night stay in tents
Day 3
Kedarnath Dham to Guptkashi (18 km trek + 7 km drive)
Day 4
Guptkashi to Haridwar (8-hour drive)
